I have been blessed to grow up in the church and have had Godly influences throughout my whole life. Since the age of about 10, I started to think about baptism a lot and knew it was something I needed to do eventually, but I was really scared of the idea of it. I knew it was a life-changing decision so I wanted to make sure I got baptized for the right reasons. I would talk to my parents about it, but never felt convicted until I was 15. My friend's dad was in a really bad car accident and at that point, we didn't know if he was going to make it. His sudden accident and critical condition helped me to realize that nothing in this life is guaranteed. I realized I had not made myself right with God and that if I died, I wouldn't get to go to Heaven but would instead face eternal punishment for my sins and that was the most terrifying thought. On October 20th, 2018, I made the decision to get baptized, and that was the best decision I have ever made.
