Facing My Prodigal

The pain that is heaped upon family members when a child, parent or sibling walks away from God is intense.  Luke 15 demonstrates God's response to one of His children who determines to return home.  This parable painfully portrays the attitudes of the self - righteous who approve of self while condemning other sinners.  Parents of prodigals need to remember that God knows and cares.  Children do choose their path either toward or away from God.  Parents should never give up, but rather pray and patiently wait for their prodigal to come home.
